Why we built Unpeat
Forms are the connective tissue of the internet — onboarding, intake, claims, applications, renewals. They're also, almost universally, a chore. You type the same name, address, and date of birth into box after box, form after form, for the rest of your life.
We thought that was a little ridiculous.
The idea
What if a form could fill itself out? You bring the context once, and the software does the tedious part — matching your details to the right boxes, formatting them correctly, and validating as it goes.
That's Unpeat. You point it at a form; it unpeels the busywork.
Three things we cared about
- Form-agnostic. It shouldn't matter who built the form or how. If a human can fill it in, Unpeat should be able to as well.
- Accurate boxes. Getting the right value into the right field is the whole game. We spend an unreasonable amount of effort on box detection.
- Fast. A form that takes a day should take minutes.
